Mapbox can be a powerful tool for creating interactive maps that showcase weather data in a clear and visually appealing way. We, Meteomatics web team, use Mapbox extensively to make different visualizations in various products. One of our best examples is MetX. I will talk about how Mapbox works and how it has become an inseparable tool for our work. How we overcame various obstacles and challenges created by limitations and how we have extended it to build features that weren’t possible before. For example timelapse animation for every data source and video export. The End of the presentation will be designed to showcase how we have used mapbox in our product – MetX and show full flow from observation data from our own Meteodrones via the numerical weather forecast into the customer product.
